Welcome to EduConnect for Cavite Science Integrated School – Maragondon. By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you are under 18, a parent/guardian must consent to your use.

1) Purpose & Scope

EduConnect supports teaching, learning, assessment, school communications, and related student services for the CavSci-Maragondon community. These Terms govern your use of the Platform and related services provided by or on behalf of the School.

2) Account Eligibility & Responsibility

• Only students, parents/guardians, teachers, and authorized staff of CavSci-Maragondon may register.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activities under your account.
• Notify the School immediately of any suspected unauthorized access.

3) Acceptable Use

• Use the Platform for legitimate academic and school-related purposes only.
• Do not upload, post, or share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or infringes others’ rights.
• No attempts to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or bypass security controls.
• Respect intellectual property; submit only your own work or properly attributed materials.

4) Academic Integrity

Cheating, plagiarism, unauthorized collaboration, and misuse of AI/automation where prohibited are not allowed. Violations may result in disciplinary action under School policies and applicable laws.

5) Communications

You consent to receive school-related notices and messages (e.g., announcements, reminders) through the Platform and your registered email.

6) Content & Licenses

You retain rights to your original content. You grant the School a limited, non-exclusive license to use, store, and display such content solely for school operations and educational purposes in line with the Privacy Policy.

7) Suspension & Termination

The School may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms, security risks, or legal/administrative reasons. Access may also end when you graduate, withdraw, or cease to be affiliated with the School.

8) Service Availability & Changes

The School may update features, perform maintenance, or discontinue components of the Platform to improve services or ensure compliance.

9) Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, the School is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use or inability to use the Platform.

10) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Disputes shall be handled in accordance with applicable laws and School policies.

CavSci-Maragondon is committed to protecting personal information in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its IRR, and related issuances. This Policy explains how EduConnect (“Platform”) collects, uses, shares, and safeguards data.

1) What We Collect

• Identification: name, student/employee ID, grade/section, role, and similar school records.
• Contact: email address.
• Account & Usage: username, activity logs, device/browser metadata (e.g., IP, timestamps) for security and support.
• Learning Artifacts: submissions, grades/feedback, attendance, messages, and attachments you upload.

2) Why We Process Your Data

• Provide learning, assessment, and communication services.
• Manage enrollment, classes, academic records, and student services.
• Secure the Platform, detect/prevent misuse, and troubleshoot issues.
• Comply with laws, policies, and reporting requirements.

3) Sharing & Disclosures

• Within School: with teachers, advisers, and authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
• Service Providers: trusted vendors supporting hosting, email, or analytics under confidentiality and data-processing agreements.
• Legal/Compliance: when required by law, court orders, or to protect rights and safety.

4) Data Retention

We retain data only as needed for educational operations, legal compliance, and archival purposes, then securely dispose or anonymize it.

5) Your Rights

Subject to law, you may request access, correction, or deletion; object to processing; and lodge complaints with the National Privacy Commission (NPC). Requests may be coordinated through the School’s DPO.

6) Security Measures

We implement organizational, physical, and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data processed on the Platform.

7) Children & Parents/Guardians

For learners under 18, the School obtains consent from parents/guardians where required. Parents/guardians may be granted accounts to support the learner.

8) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in laws or services. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform or official channels.
